Starting the BCM GUI
Run the main module of the BCM GUI program from Python. If you want to run from a Windows command prompt, change to the directory where the bcmgui.py is installed, and then enter the following command:
py bcmgui.py path-name-of-the-BCM-GUI-configuration-file
If the BCM GUI configuration file bcmgui.ini is in the same directory as the main module of the BCM GUI program, you can omit the path-name-of-the-BCM-GUI-configuration-file.
If the program starts normally, the Dashboard tab of the BCM GUI appears. If the Dashboard tab does not appear, check the message displayed in the command prompt.

Connecting to the BCM Web API server
On the Dashboard tab, click the Start button for BCM Web API server to connect to z/OSMF and start the BCM Web API server.
If the cert key or the value of cert key is not specified in the zosmf section (when a client certificate is not used), the following password entry dialog box will appear. Enter the password for the user ID of a z/OS user who can use z/OSMF and Business Continuity Manager, and then click OK.

Example of getting copy group information
On the Dashboard tab, click the Start button or the Once button for monitor interval to run the BCM Web API and display copy group information acquired from Business Continuity Manager on the other tabs.
