Use the following guidelines and suggested steps to help resolve vCenter cluster configuration failure during UCP Expansion.

Condition:
The vCenter cluster configuration fails during UCP Expansion.
What it Means:
You cannot continue with the UCP Expansion operation.
Corrective Action:
Perform the following on the new compute nodes:
  1. Re-image ESXi with the Hitachi Vantara custom image.
  2. Remove the ESXi servers from vCenter.
  3. Remove any VSAN disk partitions.
  4. Verify that the UCP Expansion prerequisites have been met, and then retry the UCP Expansion operation.
    Note: If the issue persists contact Hitachi Support.
