Use the following guidelines and suggested steps to help resolve LUN path issues when attaching a datastore.
- Condition:
- The Attach Datastore operation fails when the LUN path is not found for the hostgroup of the source ESXi. The following error is displayed: Exception: Could not find lunpath of existing datastore on hostgroup <hostgroup>.
- What it Means:
- The LUN path cannot be found on the first hostgroup of the source host, thus the Attach Datastore operation fails.
