Use the following guidelines and suggested steps to help resolve I/O card discovery and firmware upgrade problems on DS120/DS220/DS225/DS240 and DS120 G2/DS220 G2 servers servers due to configuration issues.
- Condition:
- Unable to upgrade the I/O card firmware due to the following error:
- Unable to discover I/O cards for server <xxx.xx.xx.xxx> because of Error response from the upgrade server(workFlowId: 1;errorDescription:Not able to login to Minios ISO over SOL session).
- What it Means:
- A Serial-over-LAN (SOL) communication error occurred.
- Corrective Action:
- Enable the SOL settings. See Enabling SOL settings for BIOS on DS120/DS220/DS225/DS240 and DS120 G2/DS220 G2 servers
- If the SOL is enabled, retry upgrading the firmware and discovering the I/O cards.
