Use the following guidelines and suggested steps to resolve firmware upgrade issues on the HA800 G2/G3 series server models that occur due to server configuration.

Condition 1:
Unable to upgrade the server firmware due to the following error:
Unable to upgrade the firmware on server <server IP address> because of Error response from the upgrade server <workFlowId: 109>. Check configurations.
What it Means:
The iLO must be reset.
Corrective Action:
Reset the iLO, and then re-run the firmware upgrade operation on the target server:
  1. Using SSH, log on to the iLO of the target server.
  2. Navigate to the /map1 directory, and then run the following command:
    reset
  3. Wait 10 minutes.
  4. On the UCP Advisor Compute > Summary page, click the Refresh icon.
  5. Re-run the Upgrade Firmware operation.
Condition 2:
Unable to access the ESXi server even though the UCP AdvisorTasks tab displays a successful upgrade message.
What it Means:
The firmware upgrade was unsuccessful.
Corrective Action:
  1. Using SSH, log on to the server's iLO.
  2. Click the Power button and then select Cold Boot.
  3. Wait for the server to power on.
  4. Log on to the vCenter and verify that the ESXi host for the specific server is in the Connected state.
  5. Re-run the Upgrade Firmware operation for the specific server.
