Use the following guidelines and suggested steps to help resolve add server issues.
- Condition:
- When adding a server, the following error occurs:
- Service not available on BMC. Check server health. HTTP failed with 500 for URL: URL /redfish/v1/Systems/Self returns error. Check Redfish service availability.
- What it Means:
- The server's BMC is not accessible and must be reset.
- Corrective Action:
- Reset the BMC, and then retry the onboarding operation:
- Using SSH, log on to the server's BMC, and then run the following command:
reset sp
- Wait 10 minutes, and then retry the server onboarding operation.
