You can remove an Ethernet switch from active management in a UCP system and place it in the spare pool.
- Verify that the device user credentials are assigned administrator role: network-admin.
- If you tagged a subscriber to a VLAN, untag the subscriber from the VLAN.
- Browse to the UCP system where you want to remove an Ethernet switch, and then click Ethernet.
- Locate the Ethernet switch that you want to remove, and then select its activation checkbox.
- Click the Remove Ethernet icon.
Note: You can also select Remove from the Actions menu for the device.
- Verify that the Ethernet switch that you want to remove is listed as the item being removed.
- Enter Remove, and then click Submit.
The Ethernet switch is removed from the partner, deleted from the UCP system, and moved to the spare pool.
