You can remove an Ethernet switch from active management in a UCP system and place it in the spare pool.

  • Verify that the device user credentials are assigned administrator role: network-admin.
  • If you tagged a subscriber to a VLAN, untag the subscriber from the VLAN.
  1. Browse to the UCP system where you want to remove an Ethernet switch, and then click Ethernet.
  2. Locate the Ethernet switch that you want to remove, and then select its activation checkbox.
  3. Click the Remove Ethernet icon.
Note: You can also select Remove from the Actions menu for the device.
  4. Verify that the Ethernet switch that you want to remove is listed as the item being removed.
  5. Enter Remove, and then click Submit.
The Ethernet switch is removed from the partner, deleted from the UCP system, and moved to the spare pool.
