Editing a compute device

You can edit a compute device in the inventory managed by UCP Advisor.

1. Browse to the UCP system where you want to edit a compute device, and then click Compute.
2. Locate the compute device that you want to edit, and then select its activation checkbox.
3. From the Actions menu in the Tile view or List view, click Edit.
4. Edit the information, and then click Submit.
   Note:

   • You cannot edit the BMC address.
   • To update the ESXi address from IPv4 to FQDN or from FQDN to IPv4:
     1. Remove the compute device from both the UCP system and the Spare Pool.
     2. Onboard the compute device using either the IPv4 address or FQDN.
