You can deploy an ESXi host to a cluster or datacenter.

Verify that any compute devices that have been onboarded with ESXi credentials in UCP Advisor and the ESXi hosts are not managed in any vCenter prior to deployment.

Note: Verify that a vCenter is registered and attached to the UCP system.
  1. Browse to the UCP system where you want to deploy an ESXi host, and then click Deploy Host.
  2. Enter the following:
    Select Hosts
Select one or more servers to deploy.
    Host Profile
(Optional) Select a host profile. (Available for VMware vSphere Enterprise Plus licenses only.)
    License Key
(Optional) Enter the ESXi license key.
    Datacenter or Cluster
Select a datacenter or cluster to deploy.
Note: If you are deploying the host on an existing cluster, verify that the existing hosts in the cluster are onboarded to the same UCP system in UCP Advisor.
  3. Click Submit
The selected ESXi host or hosts are deployed to the selected datacenter cluster. The common LUNs that are attached to the existing hosts in the cluster will be mapped to the newly deployed host.
If the cluster where you added the host is a VSAN cluster, manually configure the VSAN in vCenter. If the cluster is part of a distributed virtual (DV) switch, manually add the host to the switch from vCenter.
