You can manually add a storage system to a UCP system.

Verify that the device user credentials are assigned administrator role: Administrator User Group.

  1. Browse to the UCP system where you want to add a storage system.
  2. Select Storage > Add Storage Device.
  3. Enter the following:
    Management Address
Enter the SVP address for the storage system. If you are adding an SVP-less storage system (VSP G/F350, G/F370, G/F700, G/F900), enter the controller 1 or 2 address.
    Serial
Enter the serial number for the storage system.
    Username
Enter the username identifying the user adding the storage system. The user must belong to a user group that has administrator privileges to create user accounts.
    Password
Enter the password for the user adding the storage system. The password can have alphanumeric characters and the following symbols: hyphen (-), period (.), at mark (@), underscore (_), backslash (\), and comma (,).
  4. Click Submit.
The new storage system is added to the UCP system and assigned to the partner. You can monitor the progress of the task on the Tasks console.
