Tagging a storage pool to a subscriber

You can tag a storage pool to a subscriber.

Verify that the subscriber that you want to tag is registered. For details, see Registering a subscriber.
Note:
  • Only a storage pool that does not have any existing volumes can be tagged to a subscriber.
  • When you tag a storage pool to a subscriber, all the volumes that are created in that storage pool can be tagged only to that subscriber.
  • If a storage pool is not tagged to any subscriber, then the volumes that are created in that storage pool can be tagged to multiple subscribers.
  1. Browse to the storage system where you want to tag a storage pool to a subscriber, and select the Storage Pools tab.
  2. From the Actions menu for the storage pool that you want to tag, click Tag Storage Pool to Subscriber.
  3. Select the subscriber from the Subscriber list, and click Submit.
    The storage pool is tagged to the subscriber and the subscriber ID is displayed for that storage pool.
