You can add a CHAP user to an iSCSI target so that you can authenticate the CHAP user.
You can only add a CHAP user to an iSCSI target if it has the authentication mode of CHAP or BOTH. If the authentication mode is NONE, then it will be disabled and you will not be able add a CHAP user.
- Browse to the storage system where you want to add a CHAP user to an iSCSI target.
- Select iSCSI Targets.
- Click the Actions menu for the iSCSI target for which you want to add a CHAP user, and then click Add CHAP User.
- Enter the following:
- Name
- Name of the CHAP user.
- Target Port
- Target port.
- CHAP User Id
- ID of the CHAP user.
- CHAP Secret
- CHAP password.
- Click Submit.
- Click the Refresh icon to update the list information.
