You can unmount a VMFS datastore from a specified ESXi host.

  • Complete all the vCenter-related tasks. See Managing datastores.
  • Verify that a vCenter is registered and attached to the UCP system.
  1. Browse to the storage system where you want to unmount a datastore.
  2. Select Datastores > Unmount.
  3. Enter the following:
    Storage System
    Select the storage device where you want to unmount the datastore.
    Datastore
    Select the datastore that you want to unmount.
    Host or Cluster
    Select the data center hosts or clusters where you want to unmount the datastore.
    Note:

    Click the Refresh icon to refresh the host or cluster information.

    Refreshing vCenter requires a ucpAdmin role.

  4. Click Submit.
