You can mount a VMFS datastore to a specified ESXi host.

  • Complete all the vCenter-related tasks. See Managing datastores.
  • Verify that a vCenter is registered and attached to the UCP system.
  1. Browse to the storage system where you want to mount a datastore.
  2. Select Datastores > Mount.
  3. Enter the following:
    Storage System
Select the storage system where you want to mount the datastore.
    Datastore
Select the datastore that you want to mount.
    Select Hosts
Select the host or cluster. The host or cluster is determined by your storage system and datastore selections.
    Note:

Click the Refresh icon to refresh the host or cluster information.

Refreshing vCenter requires a ucpAdmin role.

Note: ESXi hosts for compute nodes in Onboarding or Error state are not listed.
  4. Click Submit.
