You can upgrade the firmware for a selected Fibre Channel switch. The firmware upgrade operation can take approximately 45 minutes to complete, depending on the switch type.

  • Gen 6 G620, Gen 7 G620, and G720 switches can be downgraded to FOS FW v9.1.1c.
  • Note: Firmware lifecycle management of Fibre Channel switches requires the Advanced Edition license.
  1. Browse to the Fibre Channel switch inventory where you want to upgrade Fibre Channel switch firmware, and then click the Refresh Fibre Channel Switch icon to refresh the inventory.
  2. Select the Fibre Channel switch that you want to upgrade, and then click Upgrade Firmware (in Tile view) or select Actions > Upgrade Firmware (in List view).
  3. Enter Submit, and then click Submit.

    Alternatively, after uploading the firmware bundle to a UCP system, you can click Actions > Upgrade Firmware and then select and submit specific switches for upgrading.
