Viewing and managing Ethernet ports

You can display a chart of the Ethernet switch ports that shows information such as port numbers, online status, and up or down status. You can select a port for detailed information to show associated VLANs, port speed, type, and other details, as well as details of the device connected to the switch port. You can also change the management status of the port. You can also click the refresh icon on the ports page to see updated information about the ports.

1. Browse to the Ethernet switch where you want to manage ports.
2. On the Ports tab, click the Set Port as Managed or Unmanaged icon to manage or unmanage the port.
   Note:

   • The Ethernet switch port will not be displayed as a connected device on the switch ports pages if it is connected to a server BMC NIC.
   • Unmanaged ports are disabled for Create VLAN and Edit VLAN operations.
