Set port type

You can set the port type for an Ethernet switch.

1. Browse to the Ethernet switch for which you want to set the port type.
   Note:

   You cannot set the port type for a management Ethernet switch.

   Setting the port mode for an Ethernet port belonging to a port channel is not supported.

   Set port type will work only if one or more VLANs exist on the port.

2. On the Ports tab, select the Table view.
3. Click the Actions menu for the port where you want to set the port type, select Set Port Type, and then select the following:

   VLAN ID

   Select the VLAN ID (applicable only when you change the port mode from trunk to access).

   Port Type

   Select either Trunk or Access.

   Update Paired Switch

   Select Yes or No.

4. Click Submit.
