Backing up an Ethernet switch configuration

You can back up an Ethernet switch configuration as a profile that can be subsequently restored to the switch.

1. Browse to the UCP system where you want to back up one or more Ethernet switch configurations.
2. Select the activation checkbox of each Ethernet switch that you want to back up.
3. Click the Backup Configuration icon.
4. Verify that the Ethernet switches that you want to back up are listed as the items for backup configuration, and then click Submit.
   Note: By default, UCP Advisor retains ten backup switch configuration files. See Retaining network switch backup configuration files to increase or decrease the retention value.
