You can export the BMC settings for Active Directory, NTP, and SNMP of a compute node to a template. You can later use this template to import the BMC settings to other similar compute nodes.

For example, you can export a BMC settings template from any one of the compute nodes within the following model groups and import it to any compute node within the same model group.
  • DS120, DS220, DS225, DS240
  • DS120 G2, DS220 G2
  • HA810/ HA820 G2, HA805/ HA810/HA815/HA820/HA825/HA840 G3 G3
Note:
  • Exporting SNMPv3 settings is not supported.
  • Exporting SNMP settings is not supported on DS120/DS220 G2 server models.
  • Exporting NTP settings is not supported on HA810/HA820 G2 and HA805/ HA810/HA815/HA820/HA825/HA840 G3 server models.
  1. Browse to the compute node that you want to use as a template.
  2. Click the compute node, and then from the BMC tab, select BMC Settings > Export BMC Settings.
  3. Enter a name for the template, and then click Submit.
Note: The template name can include only alphanumeric, an underscore (_), and a hyphen (-) character.
