You can edit the BMC settings for SNMPv3 on individual servers. You can also disable SNMPv3 per local user for all selected servers.

  1. Browse to the UCP system where you want to edit the SNMPv3 settings for a server, and then click Compute.
  2. Select the server, and then click the Edit BMC Settings icon.
  3. From the Select BMC setting to change list, select SNMPv3 settings.
    The Selected Server table lists the current SNMPv3 settings for the server.

    Note: Disable SNMPv3 is not available for HA810/HA820 G2 and HA805/ HA810/HA815/HA820/HA825/HA840 G3 server models.
  4. Edit the SNMPv3 settings, as needed, or you can click Disable SNMPv3 to disable SNMPv3 per user on the selected servers.
    Username
    The SNMPv3 username.
    Access Level
    The level of access for the SNMPv3 user: Read/Write, Read Only.
    Note: Access Level is not available for HA810/ HA820 G2 and HA805/ HA810/HA815/HA820/HA825/HA840 G3 server models, but these server models have Auth Passphrase and PrivacyPassPhrase.
    Auth Protocol
    The SNMPv3 authentication protocol: SHA, MD5, SHA256, SHA384, and SHA512.
    Note:
    • HA810/ HA820 G2 and HA805/ HA810/HA815/HA820/HA825/HA840 G3 server models have only SHA and MD5.
    • DS120 G2 and DS220 G2 servers support only SHA256, SHA384, and SHA512 authentication protocols.
    Privacy Protocol
    The SNMPv3 privacy protocol: AES, DES.
  5. Click Submit.
