Editing NTP settings

You can edit the BMC settings for NTP on individual servers, or on multiple servers simultaneously.

1. Browse to the UCP system where you want to edit the NTP settings for one or more servers, and then click Compute.
2. Select the servers, and then click the Edit BMC Settings icon.
3. From the Select BMC setting to change list, select NTP settings.
   The Selected Servers table lists the current NTP settings for each server.
   

   

   
   
4. Edit the NTP settings, as needed:
   Note: When NTP is enabled and a time response has been received, after the host with an operating system is rebooted, the BMC time is synced with the real-time clock on the host. In other words, the BMC time received from NTP servers can be overwritten by the host with an operating system.

   Primary NTP server address

   (Required) The primary NTP server IP address.

   Secondary NTP server address

   (Required) The secondary NTP server IP address.

   Note: If you don't have the secondary NTP server address, provide the primary NTP server address.

   Time Zone

   (Required) The NTP time zone.

5. Click Submit.
