The Overview tab is the initial view when you first launch UCP Advisor. This tab displays multiple dashboards that provide information about all your onboarded devices, such as model, count, health, firmware compliance, and capacity consumption.
  • Global Systems: This dashboard graphically indicates the physical location of your UCP systems and their health status. Hovering your pointer over the location marker displays more information about that system.

This dashboard also displays the number of UCP systems that are in healthy, critical, and warning states, and the different UCP system types and their count.

If you have only one UCP system per location, the color of the location marker indicates the overall health status of the devices in that system; however, if you have multiple UCP systems per location, the color of the location marker indicates the combined health status of all of the UCP systems at that location.

By default, the UCP systems across all regions are displayed. To view UCP systems in a specific region, select a region from the All regions list. Click View more to view the UCP systems in the Systems tab.

  • Systems in Critical or Warning Status: This dashboard displays the details of the UCP systems that are in a critical or warning state, the system name, the system type and its location, and the devices that are in critical or warning state. Click View to view the details in the Systems tab.

Expand the status to view the UCP system devices that are in critical or warning state. Click View for each device to view its details in the Systems tab.

The overall status of a UCP system depends on the health of each device that is onboarded to that UCP system. The UCP system status is displayed as Healthy only if all the devices onboarded to that UCP system are in normal state. If the devices are in a critical or warning state, the system's health status is displayed as Critical.

The firmware compliance of unsupported devices is not validated, and their health status is displayed as Healthy.

  • Storage: This dashboard displays the storage devices that are onboarded to UCP systems, their health status, the storage model, and the storage consumption in percentage.
  • Compute: This dashboard displays the compute devices that are onboarded to UCP systems, their health status, the model summary, and the firmware compliance information.
  • Fibre Channel: This dashboard displays the Fibre Channel switches that are onboarded to UCP systems, their health status, the model summary, and the firmware compliance information.
  • Ethernet: This dashboard displays the Ethernet switches that are onboarded to UCP systems, their health status, the model summary, and the firmware compliance information.
  • Spare Pool: Displays the devices in the Spare Pool. Click View more to view the devices in the Spare Pool.
  • Recent 10 Tasks: Displays the last ten tasks. Click View more to view all the tasks in the Tasks tab.
