You can configure a new storage device with UCP Advisor:
- Connect the storage device to network and SAN switches.
- Assign IP addresses to the storage controllers.
- Configure zoning on SAN switches.
- Create a command device using Storage Navigator, Ops Center Administrator, or Raidcom, and present it to the ESXi host running UCP Advisor.
- Provision a command device to UCP Advisor VM. See Provisioning a command device for the UCP Advisor VM after installing UCP Advisor.
