Use the following guidelines and suggested steps to help resolve volume verification issues when creating an NVMe datastore.

Condition:
The storage volume verification task fails when creating an NVMe datastore.
What it Means:
The volume on the ESXi host cannot be verified so the NVMe datastore cannot be created.
Corrective Action:
  1. Manually present the volume to the NVMe subsystem, and then from the ESXi host, verify that it has been presented.
  2. If the manually presented volume is still not listed on the ESXi host, reset the HBA using the following command:
esxcli storage san FC reset -A vmhbaX
