Use the following guidelines and suggested steps to help resolve issues with SNMPv3 admin user settings.
- Condition:
- The Edit BMC Password operation resets some SNMPv3 admin user settings. The settings for other SNMPv3 users are not affected.
- What it Means:
- The Edit BMC Password operation resets the following SNMPv3 admin user settings:
- KVM Access, VMedia Access, and SNMPv3 Access options reset from selected to deselected.
- SNMPv3 Access level resets from Read/Write to Read Only.
- SNMPv3 Privacy Protocol resets from AES to DES.
- Corrective Action:
- Edit the BMC password from the BMC user interface.
