Use the following guidelines and suggested steps to help resolve Fibre Channel switch onboarding issues that occur when SNMP is disabled.

Condition
Intermittently unable to onboard Fibre Channel switches.
What it means:
Either the Fibre Channel switch SNMP is disabled or the HTTPS certificate is expired.
Corrective action:
  1. Using SSH, log on to the Fibre Channel switch.
  2. Enable SNMP configuration. Enter:
    snmpconfig --enable snmpv1
  3. Generate the HTTPS certificate. Enter:
    seccertmgmt generate -cert https
  4. Onboard the switch.
