Use the following guidelines and suggested steps to help resolve UCP Advisor Fibre Channel switch issues.

Condition 1:
Adding a Fibre Channel switch throws a functionality error. Error - Failed to get FC network switch status information. This functionality or a part of it is not supported for this device. Authentication failed. Please check your username and password.
What it means:
The SNMP config SNMPV1 might be disabled.
Corrective action:
Log on to the Fibre Channel switch using SSH, then run the following command:
snmpconfig --enable snmpv1
Condition 2:
When you onboard a Fibre Channel switch or perform any operations on a Fibre Channel switch, the following error might be displayed:
The login username and password is incorrect.
What it means:
The HTTPS certificate might be expired.
Corrective action:
Using SSH, log on to the Fibre Channel switch using SSH, and then run the following command:
seccertmgmt generate -cert https
