Use the following guidelines and suggested steps to help resolve Fibre Channel firmware upgrade issues.
- Condition:
- Upgrading the firmware on a Fibre Channel switch fails.
- What it Means:
- The firmware upgrade fails as observed in UCP Advisor tasks pane because of an operation timeout.
- Corrective Action:
- Performing the following:
- Restart the Fibre Channel switch.
- Clear the SSH known host key on the switch using the following command: sshutil delknownhost -all.
- Retry the firmware upgrade operation.
