You can remove a Fibre Channel switch from active management in a UCP system and place it in the infrastructure spare pool.
Verify that the device user credentials are assigned administrator role: admin.
- Browse to the UCP system where you want to remove a Fibre Channel switch, and then select Fibre Channel.
- Locate the Fibre Channel switch that you want to remove, and then select its activation checkbox.
- Click the Remove Fibre Channel Switch icon.
Note: You can also select Remove from the Actions menu for the device.
- Verify that the Fibre Channel switch that you want to remove is listed as the item being removed.
- Enter Remove, and then click Submit.
The device is removed from the UCP system and placed in the infrastructure spare pool.
