Managing zones

You can create, edit, and delete zones for a selected Fibre Channel switch.

1. Browse to the Fibre Channel switch where you want to manage zones.
2. Click the Fibre Channel switch tile, and then click the Manage tab.
3. In the Zones pane, create, edit, or delete zones:
   • Creating a zone:
     1. Click Create.
     2. Enter a name for the zone.
     3. Select:
        • Peer Zone: if you want to create the zone as a peer zone. Select an alias for both the Principal Member and the Peer Member.
        • Non-peer zone: select the zone aliases that you want to add to the zone.
     4. Click Submit.
   • Editing a zone:
     1. From the Action menu for the zone that you want to edit, click Edit Zone.
     2. Add or remove aliases.
     3. Click Submit.
   • Deleting a zone:
     1. From the Action menu for the zone that you want to delete, click Delete Zone.
     2. Verify that the zone that you want to delete is listed as the item being deleted.
     3. Enter Delete, and then click Delete.
