You can create a zone configuration policy that can be applied to switches that are connected to servers and storage devices.
Onboard the Fibre Channel switches to the UCP system where you want to apply the zone policy.
- Click Settings > Policies, and then click Create Policy.
- For the policy type, select Zone, and then enter the following:
- Name: Enter a policy name.
- Select Connection Type: Server-Storage or Storage-Storage.
- Select Config Type:
- Single-Single: Creates a zone policy between a single compute device and a single storage device with an individual port.
- Single-Multi: Creates a zone policy between a single compute device and a single storage device with multiple ports. This option is not available for a storage-storage connection type.
- Peer: Creates a zone policy between a single compute device and a single storage device. The server port acts as a principal member and the storage ports act as peer members. This option is not available for a storage-storage connection type.
- Add to Effective Zone Config:
- True: Adds the zone to the effective zone configuration.
- False: Creates the zone and the zone alias only, but does not add the zone to the effective zone configuration.
- Use Recommended Zoning: True or False.Note: This option is available only for the Storage-Storage connection type.
- Switch Tags: enter any switch tags for filtering; separate multiple tags with a comma.
- Switch Models: select the Fibre Channel switches for the policy.
- Server Tags: enter any server tags for filtering; separate multiple tags with a comma.
- Server Models: select the server models for the policy.
- Click Submit.
