Managing zone configurations

You can create, edit, delete, enable, and disable zone configurations for a selected Fibre Channel switch.

1. Browse to the Fibre Channel switch where you want to manage zone configurations.
2. Click the Fibre Channel switch tile, and then click the Manage tab.
3. In the Zone Configurations pane, create, edit, delete, enable or disable zone configurations:
   • Creating a zone configuration:
     1. Click Create.
     2. Enter a name for the zone configuration.
     3. Select the zones that you want to add to the zone configuration.
     4. Click Submit.
   • Editing a zone configuration:
     1. From the Action menu for the zone configuration that you want to edit, click Edit Zone Config.
     2. Add or remove zones.
     3. Click Submit.
     Note: After editing the effective zone configuration, be sure to enable the zone configuration again to activate the updated zone configuration.
   • Deleting a zone configuration:
     1. From the Action menu for the zone configuration that you want to edit, click Delete Zone Config.
     2. Verify that the zone configuration that you want to delete is listed as the item being deleted.
     3. Enter Delete, and then click Delete.
   • Enabling a zone configuration:
     1. From the Action menu for the zone configuration that you want to enable, click Enable Zone Config.
     2. Verify that the zone configuration that you want to enable is listed as the item being submitted.
     3. Enter Submit, and then click Submit.
        Note:

        • If you edit any zone or zone alias that are a part of an active zone configuration, then you must activate the zone configuration again to apply the changes.
        • You can enable only one zone configuration at a time.
   • Disabling an effective zone configuration:
     1. From the Action menu for the zone configuration that you want to disable, click Disable Zone Config.
     2. Verify that the zone configuration that you want to disable is listed as the item being submitted.
     3. Enter Submit, and then click Submit.
