The Fibre Channel switch inventory displays general information and management operations for each Fibre Channel switch in a UCP system. Click any Fibre Channel switch to drill down to summary information for that switch and to access additional management operations.
To view the Fibre Channel switch inventory, browse to a UCP system, and then select Fibre Channel.
The following general information for each Fibre Channel switch is displayed:
- Switch Address
- The IP address or FQDN for the switch.
- Serial
- The serial number of the switch.
- Model
- The switch model name.
- Type
- The switch type.
- Label
- The Fibre Channel switch label.
Click a Fibre Channel switch tile to view summary information, manage aliases, zones, and zone configurations, and to view ports, and event logs. The information for each Fibre Channel switch is displayed on the following tabs:
Summary tab
- Device Status
- The current overall status: Up, Down, Healthy, Unknown, Unreachable.
- Effective Zone Config
- The effective zone configuration of the Fibre Channel switch.
- Label
- The Fibre Channel switch label.
- Remote Syslog Server
- The IP address of the vRealize Log Insight instance that you have attached to the UCP system.
- Fan Status
- The current fan status.
- Firmware
- The firmware version for the switch. Note: Following a firmware upgrade, it can take up to 30 minutes for the new firmware version to be updated in the summary details. However, you can get the latest firmware version by clicking the Refresh button.
- MAC Address
- The MAC address for the switch.
- Model
- The switch model.
- Name
- The switch name.
- Onboard Status
- The current onboard status.
- Power Status
- The overall power supply status.
- Serial
- The serial number of the switch.
- Switch Address
- The IP address or FQDN for the switch.
- Switch Model Type
- Type of switch model.
- Switch Status
- The status of the switch: Enable, Disable.
- Tags
- The tags for the switch.
- Temperature Status
- The status of the switch temperature: OK, Normal, Other, Warning, Critical, Fatal, Unknown.
- Type
- The type of switch (Fibre Channel).
- WWN:
- The WWN identifier for the switch.
