You can create a VLAN configuration policy that can be applied to Ethernet switches.
Verify that the target Ethernet switches have been onboarded to the UCP system where you want to apply the VLAN policy.
- Click Settings > Policies, and then click Create Policy.
- For the policy type, select VLAN, and then enter the following:
- Name: Enter a policy name.
- Type: Select a connection type: Access or Trunk.
- VLAN ID: Enter the VLAN ID. You can also specify a range of numbers for the Trunk connection type.
- Native VLAN: Enter a value for the native VLAN. Note: The Native VLAN option is available only for the Trunk connection type.
- Propagate VLAN: Select True or False.
- MTU Size: (For Cisco switches only) Specify the MTU size.
If you are using Paired Switch, you must specify the global value for both the switches.
You can also modify the MTU Size, if needed. Log on to the Ethernet switch CLI and then use the system jumbomtu xxxx command to set the MTU size globally to any value in the inclusive range of 1500-9216 bytes.
Important: The MTU size of the port and the global value must be the same. For example, if you set the global value to 3000, and then set the MTU size to 2000, the port configuration fails. - Switch Tags: Enter any switch tags for filtering; separate multiple tags with a comma.
- Switch Models: Select the Ethernet switches for the policy.
- Server Tags: Enter any compute tags for filtering; separate multiple tags with a comma.
- Server Models: Select the server models for the policy.
- Click Submit.
