The Ethernet switch inventory view displays general information for each Ethernet switch, such as address, serial number, model, and switch type. Click an Ethernet switch tile to manage the switch VLANs and ports and to view the summary information and the event log.
To view the Ethernet switch inventory, browse to a UCP system, and then select Ethernet. You can click the refresh button to refresh the Ethernet switch inventory.
The following general information for each Ethernet switch is displayed:
- Switch Address
- The IP address or FQDN of the switch.
- Serial
- The serial number of the switch.
- Model
- The model name of the switch.
- Type
- The type of switch.
- Label
- The Ethernet switch label.
- Device Status
- The current device status.
- Fan Status
- The overall fan status.
- Firmware
- The current version of the switch firmware.
- MAC Address
- The MAC address for the switch.
- Model
- The model of the switch.
- Name
- The switch name.
- Onboard Status
- The current onboard status of the switch.
- Power Status
- The overall power supply status.
- Rack Label
- The rack label of the switch.
(Applies only for the management Ethernet switch.)
- Label
- The Ethernet switch label.
- Remote Syslog Server
- The IP address of the vRealize Log Insight instance that you have attached to the UCP system.
- The syslog servers configured on the switch are also displayed.
- Serial
- The serial number of the switch.
- Switch Address
- The IP address or FQDN of the switch.
- Tags
- The tags for the switch.
- Temperature Status
- The overall temperature status.
- Type
- The type of switch.
