You can specify the boot location where the initial operating system is loaded when a compute node is brought online.
A valid boot location must contain the portions of the operating system required to bootstrap the system. The following boot options are available:
- NORMAL
- SVC_PARTITION
- PXE
- CDROM
- HDD
- BIOS_SETUP
- HDD_SAFE
Note:
- For boot operations to work, the server must be onboarded to the inventory.
- SVC_PARTITION and HDD SAFE boot options are not supported on HA810/HA820 G2 and HA805/ HA810/HA815/HA820/HA825/HA840 G3 server models.
