You can remotely access any Hitachi Advanced Server console managed by UCP Advisor to perform administrative tasks.
Download and launch a single-session remote console viewer application that enables you to remotely access the console of a selected server from within UCP Advisor. You can launch multiple viewers to manage multiple servers simultaneously.
Note: This feature is not supported on the following compute nodes: HA810/HA820 G2 and HA805/HA810/HA815/HA820/HA825/HA840 G3.
- Verify that Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is installed.
- Verify that the server is onboarded to UCP Advisor.
- Browse to the UCP system where you want to launch a remote console for a server, and then click Compute.
- Locate the server that you want to manage remotely, click the compute tile, and then click the Launch Remote Console icon.
- Enter Submit, and then click Submit to confirm that you want to launch the remote console and to download a single-session remote console file. If prompted, enter the server's BMC username and password. For security purposes, you must launch this file within 30 minutes of downloading it, otherwise it will expire.
- Open the downloaded file with Java Web Start to launch the remote console viewer application. Accept any security warnings or other prompts that might be displayed.
