If LDEV information is collected from a lot of volumes, you can shorten the time required to collect the information by increasing the number of I/O destination devices. The following is an example of how to add an I/O destination device.
In the example, an I/O destination device is added to shorten the time required to collect the information.
-
If the disk configuration for the I/O destination device to be added has not been acquired, execute the disk configuration acquisition program.
Information about the volume (DEVN: 4000) is added to the disk configuration definition file (USER01.DSK.SN53038.LOCAL).
-
Change the settings of the metric collection parameter.
-
Use the REFRESH command to update the metric collection environment.
Changes to the metric collection environment are applied from the next interval after metric collection for the current interval finishes.
