RESET

Specify this parameter to reset the counted number of output SMF records.

Specify this parameter if you want to reset the number of output records when outputting the dump of the SMF dataset or clearing the dataset.

Display example

  • When the collection target metrics are LDEV, PGRP, and PORT and the LOST record is output:
    RSY312I Record from 2015240 16:00 to 2015244 18:16
    RSY313I Subtype1(LOST) = 2
    RSY313I Subtype2(LDEV) = 382
    RSY313I Subtype4(PGRP) = 96
    RSY314I Subtype5(PORT) = 96

If the LOST record is not output, the line of Subtype1(LOST) is not displayed.

  • When the collection target metrics are LDEV and MPU and the first SMF record is not output:
    RSY312I Record from ------- --:-- to ------- --:--
    RSY313I Subtype2(LDEV) = 0
    RSY314I Subtype3(MPU) = 0

The RSY314I message indicates the last line.

Tip:

The number of output SMF records is indicated by a number from 0 to 999999999, and after this number wraps around, it is displayed by using 9 digits padded with leading zeros.
