Function
Checks the following setting items required for setup for incomplete or incorrect information, and then outputs a message showing the check results and the settings:
-
Assigning the READ permission for the profiles defined in the FACILITY class of RACF, to users who execute MAR programs
-
Registering a user SVC
Command type
TSO/E command
Syntax
RSINSCHK[ USERID(user-ID)]
Parameters
- USERID(user-ID) ~ <symbolic name consisting of 8 or fewer characters> <<user ID of the user who executes the RSINSCHK command>>
-
User ID of the user whose permissions are to be checked. Specify the user ID of the following user:
- For the disk configuration acquisition program, a user who executes the program
If the same user executes the disk configuration acquisition program and the RSINSCHK command, the USERID parameter can be omitted.
- For the metric collection program, a user who is assigned to cataloged procedures for startup
To execute the RSINSCHK command with the USERID parameter specified, the READ permission for the STGADMIN.YKA.ERM.INSCHK profile is required.
- For the disk configuration acquisition program, a user who executes the program

Example
The following shows an example of executing the RSINSCHK command.
READY
RSINSCHK USERID(USER01)
Security Settings .........: OK
User SVC Routine ..........: OK
Facility Class Profiles Query : STGADMIN.YKA.ERM.QUERY
Directions
The current setup is listed above.
An unregistered profile is listed as N/A.
The RACF settings are necessary in order to use JYTMMAIN/JYTCMAIN programs.
After a profile is defined in the RACF FACILITY class, a user can use
the programs by being given the access rights of the profile.
There is the following profile:
- Facility Class Profiles Query
To give a user the permissions necessary to use all of the programs:
1. Make the RACF FACILITY class active.
2. Define the STGADMIN.YKA.ERM.QUERY profile in the FACILITY class.
3. Give the user the access rights of the profile.
Version of User SVC for this program .............: vv.r.m-nn(zz) or later
Current User SVC : SVC Number 200 Version vv.r.m-nn(zz)
Dynamic registered User SVC : SVC Number 200 Version vv.r.m-nn(zz)
Static installed User SVC : SVC Number 251 Version vv.r.m-nn(zz)
Directions
The current users SVC routine registration number and version are listed
above.
User SVC numbers and versions that have not been acquired are listed as
N/A.
If a Dynamic registered User SVC exists, the Dynamic registered User SVC
will become the Current User SVC.
If a Dynamic registered User SVC does not exist and a Static installed
User SVC exists, the Static installed User SVC will become the Current
User SVC.
If the Current User SVC is smaller than the Version of User SVC for this
program, then the program will not run properly.
If this is the case, use the RSALCSVC command to dynamically register
the latest User SVC.
The following is an example of registering a User SVC:
+--------------------------------------------------------------------+
: START RSALCSVC :
+--------------------------------------------------------------------+
Note:
A User SVC registered by using the RSALCSVC command will become invalid
during a re-IPL.
As a result, we recommend performing either of the following settings
in order to prepare for the next re-IPL:
- Add the RSALCSVC command to the COMMNDxx parmlib member, and then
have the User SVC automatically re-registered during a re-IPL.
- Define a User SVC in the IEASVCxx parmlib member, and then use the
User SVC that was statically installed from the next IPL.
