This appendix describes how to specify the necessary settings for using the kdump function in an environment where an HDLM device is used as a boot disk.
Note that, if the settings are incorrect, the OS might not start. If you cannot start the OS from the HDLM device, see Countermeasures for unsuccessful startup of the OS from an HDLM device and take the appropriate action.
