Learn how to replicate storage volumes by creating a Replication Custom Resource (CR). The Replication Plug-in for Containers manages the process by replicating the specified Persistent Volume Claim (PVC) and initiating the creation of a corresponding PVC at the secondary site. Data from the target PVC in the primary site is copied and protected using Universal Replicator or TrueCopy, ensuring reliable and consistent replication across environments.

You can also replicate storage volumes using DR policy. See Creating and managing Disaster Recovery Policy for a TrueCopy pair or a Universal Replicator pair.

Note:
  • All replications on a storage system must belong to the same resource group. If multiple resource groups or resource partitioning are used, ensure new replications are assigned to the same resource group as existing ones.
  • To create a replication in a different resource group, first delete the existing replication and then create a new one.

For details on the resource partitioning feature, see Using the resource partitioning feature of Storage Plug-in for Containers.
