You can run your applications from the secondary site for a planned switchover or when the primary site is not available.
- For a planned switchover, stop the applications running at the primary site.
- From the secondary site, perform a failover of the replication pair. See Managing failover for TrueCopy or Universal Replicator pairs.
- If you have configured a replication group, perform a failover of the replication group from the secondary site. See Managing failover of a TrueCopy or Universal Replicator copy group.
- Create the manifest for the application using PVCs created by Replication Plug-in for Containers at the seondary site.
- Deploy the applications at the secondary site using the prepared manifests, and verify that they are running correctly.
- After the primary site becomes available, copy the application data from the secondary site back to the primary site.
- From the secondary site, resynchronize the replication pair. See Resynchronizing a TrueCopy pair or Universal Replicator pair after a failover.
- If you have configured a replication group, resynchronize the replication group from the secondary site. See Resynchronizing a TrueCopy or Universal Replicator copy group after a failover.
