When primary site is available or planned maintenance is completed, you can restore the applications from the primary site.
- Verify that the replication CR or the replication group CR exists at the primary site.
- Verify that the applications are shutdown at the secondary site before failing back to the primary site.
- Verify that any data written at the secondary site is copied and resynchronized to the primary site.
- For a planned switchover, stop the applications running at the secondary site.
- From the primary site, perform a failover of a replication pair. See Managing failover for TrueCopy or Universal Replicator pairs.
- If you have configured a replication group, perform a failover of the replication group from the primary site. See Managing failover of a TrueCopy or Universal Replicator copy group.
- Create the manifest for the application using PVCs created by Replication Plug-in for Containers at the primary site.
- Deploy the applications at the primary site using the prepared manifests, and verify that they are running correctly.
- Copy the application data from the primary site to the secondary site.
- From the primary site, resynchronize the replication pair. See Resynchronizing a TrueCopy pair or Universal Replicator pair after a failover.
- From the primary site, resynchronize the replication group. See Resynchronizing a TrueCopy or Universal Replicator copy group after a failover.
