Configure the cloud storage in the Command Center for integration with VSP One Object.

This workflow requires the following:

  • Access to the Command Center through a web browser: Default URL: https://<CommservIPAddress>/commandcenter
  • The S3 region endpoint URL (S3 service URL) specified during the VSP One Object installation.
  • Permissions to add and configure cloud storage within the Command Center.
  1. In the Command Center navigation pane, select Storage > Cloud.
  2. Click Add to open the Add Cloud Storage configuration dialog.
  3. From the Type list, select the cloud storage.
  4. In the Name box, type the name of the cloud storage.
  5. In the Service host box, type s3. coe1.<FQDN Name>(coe1)(example to add the S3 Object storage from the region coe1). The fully qualified VSP1O endpoint, which will be providing S3 cloud storage. The format of the endpoint is s3.<vsp1o-region>.<vsp1o-fqdn>(<vsp1o-region>).
  6. From the MediaAgent list select the associated media agents. The name of the media agent with access to the S3 Bucket. Select a media agent from the list to add to the cloud storage device. The list contains the names of all the media agents configured in CommCell.
  7. From the Credentials list, select the credential that you want to use to access the cloud library.

    Alternatively, you can click the + sign to create a new credential to access a cloud library. Complete the following information to add a new credential.
    • Credential name: Enter a descriptive name for the credential.
    • Access key ID: Enter the Access key ID.
    • Secret access key: Enter the Secret access key of the VSP One Object user, and then click Save.

  8. Click Detect to view the associated buckets, and then select the bucket.
  9. Verify that the cloud library is created successfully.
    1. In Command Center, navigate to Storage > Cloud, and select the newly created cloud library.
    2. Click the bucket name to open and review its configuration details.
    3. Confirm that the verified S3 service URL appears under the Cloud Access Paths section.
