TrueCopy for Mainframe configuration and pair creation

Use the following workflow to configure the TrueCopy for Mainframe remote replication environment and create pairs:

1. Configure the data paths on the primary and secondary storage systems.

   For details, see Data path requirements and configurations.

2. Define the Fibre Channel port attribute (bidirectional) that will be used for TrueCopy for Mainframe operations.

   For details, see Defining port attributes.

3. On the primary storage system, create the TrueCopy for Mainframe association with the secondary system by adding remote connections.

   If you want a 3DC configuration with three TCz sites, follow the steps described in 3DC configuration with PPRC multi-target.

   When you use iSCSI, register the iSCSI target before you add a remote connection.

4. Set the remote replication options.

5. Create TrueCopy for Mainframe pairs.
