You can determine the maximum number of ShadowImage for Mainframe pairs that can be created in your storage system by calculating the number of differential tables and the number of pair tables that are required to create a ShadowImage for Mainframe pair. This number must be less than or equal to the number obtained by subtracting the number of tables used by other software from the total number of differential and pair tables in the storage system.
You can use the CCI inqraid command to determine the number of differential tables required when creating ShadowImage pairs, but you cannot use the inqraid command to determine the number of differential tables required when creating ShadowImage for Mainframe pairs.
The following table shows whether information can be obtained by the inqraid command.
