The Host I/O Priority Mode local replica option enables you to prioritize host I/O responses over replication copy processing. When you enable this option, you can set the amount of time until copy processing fails. The available range for this setting differs depending on the replication configuration:

  • When the ShadowImage for Mainframe P-VOL is used only by ShadowImage for Mainframe, the available range is 1 to 31 seconds.
  • When the ShadowImage for Mainframe P-VOL is used by ShadowImage for Mainframe and other replication software, the available range differs depending on the configuration.

The following table shows the available time ranges for setting the time until copy processing fails for replication configurations with ShadowImage for Mainframe and other replication software.
