The following diagram shows the high-level workflow for setting up Dynamic Provisioning for Mainframe on the storage system.
Use Command Control Interface (CCI) to create Dynamic Provisioning for Mainframe pools and DP-VOLs.
CAUTION:
When migrating data on a file basis, perform zero data page reclamation as needed. However, if the volume copy or physical copy operation is performed, zero data page reclamation is not required.
Repeat the following procedure for each V-VOL to restore backup data:
- Restore the data for the V-VOL.
- Reclaim zero data page.
