The specifications of the 32-Gbps FICON® CHB are as follows. When using the 32-Gbps FICON® CHB, configure it with these specifications in mind.
- Transfer speeds supported: 8 Gbps, 16 Gbps, and 32 Gbps. Connections are not supported with switches or z server FICON® channels operating at 1 Gbps, 2 Gbps, or 4 Gbps.
- Supported IBM® host servers: z14 and later.
- Hitachi hosts are not supported.
- Mixed configurations in which IBM® hosts and Hitachi hosts share volumes are not supported.
